JNC Recommends Three Candidates for Superior Court Vacancy

The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission has recommended to the president of the United States three candidates for a judicial vacancy on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia created by the passing of Judge Lynn Leibovitz. The president has 60 days to select a nominee to fill this vacancy.

The candidates are Stuart D. Allen, who currently serves as an assistant United States attorney in the National Security Section at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia; Judge Rahkel Bouchet, magistrate judge on the Superior Court; and Judge Roman M. Chaban, appellate immigration judge in the Executive Office for Immigration Review at the U.S. Department of Justice. Learn more about the candidates here.
