Woman found deceased in the Willamette River identified

On October 8, around 10:51 a.m. Eugene Police was dispatched to a report of a person found deceased in the Willamette River just east of the Ferry Street Bridge. The body was discovered in the middle of the river up against the center Ferry Street Bridge pylon, just east of Ferry Street Bridge. She was recovered with the help of Lane County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue.

She has been identified as 51-year-old Siva Louise McMullen of Eugene. Although there was nothing suspicious noted by the Eugene Police investigation, the Lane County Medical Examiner is continuing the investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
