Los Angeles, CA, October 20, 2026-Roland announces two new additions to its long-running lineup of Roland Boutique instruments for on-the-go creation, performance, and music production. The JUPITER-08 is a special release that celebrates 45 years of the Roland JUPITER-8, one of the most coveted analog synthesizers of all time. n/vision is a newly developed instrument that elevates the sophisticated character of classic wavetable synthesis with Roland's latest technologies.

Introduced in 2015, Roland Boutique is a growing world of compact instruments that drive fresh creative approaches in electronic music, expanding on legendary sounds of the past with workflows tailored for modern producers and musicians. The sound is immense and iconic-often inspired by famous Roland designs-while the small, portable form factor is made for in-the-moment creativity. Whether performing live on stage, producing in the studio, or playing for pure enjoyment, Roland Boutique delivers an exceptional musical experience for creators of all kinds.

With the latest additions, the current Roland Boutique lineup now includes eight unique models. The JUPITER-08 and n/vision carry on all the great design features that the series is known for, including built-in speakers, flexible battery/USB-C power, and USB audio/MIDI connectivity for interfacing with music software. These new models also include a K-25m keyboard dock, making them standalone instruments for instant inspiration.

JUPITER-08 Synthesizer
Widely regarded as the king of polysynths, the Roland JUPITER-8 has been revered by generations of musicians since its debut in 1981. This powerhouse instrument helped define the era's electronic music with its huge, dreamy tones, and it continues to be heard in classic synth-pop tracks, video game soundtracks, film scores, modern pop hits, and more. The JUPITER-08 celebrates the 45th anniversary of the analog legend with this special addition to the Roland Boutique series. Offering sonic capabilities and interface features inspired by the original hardware, this powerful mini synth delivers classic sound, hands-on control, and modern performance tools in a go-everywhere design.

With its flexible sound engine, the JUPITER-08 is a highly capable musical tool. By default, the synth is set for a retro experience with the eight-part/two-voice architecture of the original JUPITER-8, but users can internally expand the polyphony to 32 voices to meet modern playing needs and craft all-new tonalities. With refined voice allocation and pitch behavior, the JUPITER-08 provides a rich, animated playing experience with enhanced polyphonic performance and genuine vintage-inspired character.

The JUPITER-08 comes equipped with a two-part, 64-step polyphonic sequencer and an arpeggio function, ready to capture ideas and build dynamic, evolving sounds on the fly. Onboard processing is also available for extensive sound shaping and spatial enhancement. Users can tap into 17 unique effects-including chorus and MFX-plus dedicated delay and a reverb with five types and a unique shimmer mode.

n/vision Wavetable Synthesizer
n/vision is a small yet mighty synthesizer that elevates classic wavetable synthesis with advanced Roland sound-shaping techniques. Newly developed for the Roland Boutique series, it delivers a powerful platform for crafting rich tonalities and evolving textures, offering hands-on control for immediate creative interaction and deep menu-driven tools for sophisticated sound design.

Powered by Roland's latest sound advancements, n/vision allows players to build evocative textures through a tactile synthesizer workflow. Users can easily blend and shape two wavetable layers to create animated movement, moving pads, aggressive leads, complex timbres, and more.

Multiple modulation sources can influence wavetable position, layer balance, pitch, and shaping parameters, enabling highly dynamic sound movement. Roland's innovative wave-shaper technology transforms incoming waveforms through non-linear processing, generating new harmonics and unique textures that go beyond the capabilities of traditional wavetable synthesis.

n/vision's top-level interface supports immediate sound creation, but users can dive much deeper if they want. Step LFO, envelope modulation, oscillator modulation, motion recording, and extensive parameter control open powerful sound design capabilities. n/vision also provides additional sonic enhancement with a drive-enhanced analog-modeling filter, multiple filter models inspired by classic synths, and the same powerful effects processing options as the JUPITER-08.
