With spring now officially here and the magnolia trees getting ready to blossom, we're taking a look back at winter on campus, as captured by BU Today photographers. It was a busy season, marked by the 2025 men's and women's Beanpot tournaments, plenty of wintry weather (though snowfall totals were well below the city's 43-inch yearly average), and the annual BU celebration of Holi, the Hindu festival marking the arrival of spring.

Students and guests contribute to an art installation during the grand reopening of the Newbury Center January 22. The newly expanded center has individual offices for staff, a conference room, and a larger multipurpose space that can be used for studying or gathering. The event also featured dinner, a DJ, and remarks by BU President Melissa Gilliam.
