City of Riverside Invites Public to Celebrate Earth Month 2026

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The City of Riverside invites the public to engage with a variety of public events in the coming month of April as we celebrate Earth Month 2026.

Since 1970, Earth Day has been a time for people all over the world to come together to learn about being good stewards of the planet and our environment. In the spirit of environmentalism and building community, the City of Riverside's Office of Sustainability has created an Earth Month webpage to publicize all the amazing events happening throughout the month of April.

These events, hosted by community groups and city departments, will be environmentally focused and family friendly. Here's a sneak peak of some upcoming events:

  • Join us at the annual Insect Fair to learn about city initiatives, eat good food, and see (or hold) cool insects.
  • Visit one of our many libraries for Earth Day themed story time.
  • Get outside and help clean up our neighborhoods and trails with KRCB.
  • Play bingo at the airport for a chance to win a native plant.
