Full Tilt Film Festival to Host World Premiere of Chasing Goals, Produced by Trevor Noah's Day Zero, Wavelength & Foolish Club Studios

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Full Tilt Film Festival today announced that Chasing Goals, the new feature documentary produced by Foolish Club Studios, in partnership with Trevor Noah's Day Zero Productions, and Wavelength, will make its world premiere at the inaugural festival on Saturday, August 29, 2026, in Kansas City.

Chasing Goals follows Global FC, a Kansas City-based youth soccer club comprised of refugee athletes representing 29 countries, as they pursue a title in the prestigious USA Cup. With only 30 days to prepare, the teens navigate challenges both on and off the field.

"I wanted to tell a story about human connection," said Director Josh Gloer. "This film showcases the everlasting impact that sports and community can have. We followed this team from the pitch to their homes, where we shot their truth, their reality, because we wanted it to be honest. We are so grateful to Full Tilt and our partners for providing Chasing Goals with an amazing platform, and we hope audiences come to love this film, and this organization, as much as we do".

"Chasing Goals represents so much of what we hope to celebrate through Full Tilt," said Rachel Kephart, Director of the Kansas City Film Office and Founder of Full Tilt Film Festival. "It's a powerful story with roots in Kansas City, told through a global lens. Just as importantly, it reflects the growing role of sports organizations as storytellers, creators, and producers in the entertainment space. The film sits at the intersection of sports, culture, and media, which is exactly where this festival was designed to live."

Building on the legacy of American sports pioneer and Kansas City Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt, Foolish Club Studios prioritizes telling unique stories that reflect the spirit of humility, heart, and hard work that have been central to the team's heritage since the beginning. Chasing Goals represents the studio's continued expansion into longform storytelling following the wildly successful six-part docuseries The Kingdom that aired on ESPN and Disney+ in August 2025.

The inaugural Full Tilt Film Festival will take place August 28-29, 2026, across multiple venues throughout Kansas City, including Union Station, the Crossroads Arts District, and the historic 18th & Vine District.

Additional details regarding the Chasing Goals premiere, participating filmmakers, guests, and related programming will be announced in the coming weeks.
