City of Santa Ana lowers flags to half-staff in response to ICE shootings

The City of Santa Ana has lowered its flags to half-staff in the memory of Renee Good, Alex Pretti and all those who have unjustly lost their lives to recent ICE immigration enforcement actions while exercising their Constitutional rights, which has been a longstanding civil rights tradition in our country.

The lowered flag symbolizes the City's deeps concern about the federal government's ongoing activities that have contributed to fear, the erosion of civil rights, and trauma in communities across the country, including Santa Ana. We reaffirm our commitment to constitutional rights, including peaceful protest, and call for transparency and accountability.

We encourage anyone in Santa Ana who may be affected by immigration enforcement to visit the City's Know Your Rights page and learn about our financial and legal assistance programs at https://www.santa-ana.org/kyr.
