(PEORIA, IL) The Peoria Police Department is proud to announce that its primary dispatch audio channel, known as PREP 1, is now live and accessible to the public through Broadcastify.

PREP 1 serves as the main dispatch channel for the department's daily patrol operations. Effective immediately, members of the public, media, and community partners can listen from both desktop and mobile devices by visiting: https://www.broadcastify.com

This launch is part of the department's continued efforts to enhance transparency, public awareness, and community engagement.

"We heard our community and listened to your concerns. The Peoria Police Department will continue to be as transparent as possible to keep our community members informed about incidents happening across the city. Our number one priority is the safety of our community, as well as the officers and staff who respond to calls every day. This is another step in our ongoing efforts to build trust and engagement through open communication," says Peoria Police Chief Eric Echevarria.
