Prison inmate Thomas Hansen dies

CORALVILLE, Iowa - Thomas Lee Hansen was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025 at the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center. Hansen was 84 years old at the time of his death.

Hansen had been serving a 50-year term for crimes from Washington County. His sentence began on Feb. 1, 2013.
