The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have been restarting the Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report (PEPPER) for various providers throughout 2026. With the September 17 Medicare Learning Network newsletter, CMS announced that the PEPPER for skilled nursing facilities is now available. PEPPER helps providers review billing data to ensure claims are accurate, identify areas for closer monitoring and improvement, and track trends like patient length of stay.
