IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 20, 2026 RPNM releases statement on reported burglary at DPNM HQ Albuquerque, NM - As reports come in of vandalism and burglary taking place at the Democratic Party of New Mexico HQ office, RPNM Chairwoman Amy Barela releases the following statement: "We stand in solidarity with the Democratic Party of New Mexico following the break-in at their headquarters. No organization, regardless of party, should be the victim of politically-motivated crime," said Chairwoman Barela. "We are grateful that no one was harmed, and we hope that those responsible are swiftly identified, apprehended, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Acts like this have no place in our communities. In times of heightened political tension, it is more important than ever that we reject violence and intimidation in all forms. We all deserve to feel safe at work and in our public spaces. We stand with those affected and support a thorough investigation to ensure accountability and justice." ### |
