The University of Scranton welcomed about 100 children who arrived in costume and took part in an afternoon of Halloween fun at this year's Monster Mash Bash.
Held Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Byron Recreation Complex, children and their parents and guardians enjoyed Halloween-themed activities, crafts, games and tasty treats in the event sponsored by the University's Center for Service and Social Justice.
Ninety-seven children attended the event, including children of University and Aramark employees, as well as guests from United Neighborhood Centers, Friends of the Poor and Head Start.
Additionally, about 150 University students volunteered at the event with 20 clubs represented.
