Winnipeg, MB- Last night, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to two structure fires.
Manitoba Avenue
At 10:02 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, WFPS responded to reports of a fire at a house in the 600 block of Manitoba Avenue.
At the scene, firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the house. All occupants got out of the house safely before crews arrived. Firefighters used a defensive exterior attack until it was safe to switch to an offensive attack.
Paramedics assessed one patient and no transportation to the hospital was required.
Firefighters declared the fire under control at 10:22 p.m. Crews located two dogs, and the City of Winnipeg's Animal Service Agency responded to the scene to help.
The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
Century Street
At 4:13 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, WFPS responded to reports of a fire at a commercial building in the 400 block of Century Street.
At the scene, firefighters found a fire and launched a defensive attack. They switched to an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 4:40 a.m.
Firefighters searched the building to ensure no one was inside. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
