Thousands of Cougs participating in statewide commencement events

More than 3,950 Washington State University students are set to graduate this spring, with commencement events happening across the state.

Among this spring's cohort of Cougs are more than 3,000 undergraduates, nearly 500 students completing graduate programs, and upwards of 370 earning professional degrees. Each of these WSU graduates will have the opportunity to be honored by members of the university community and celebrated by their families and friends in the days ahead.

Students who completed their studies in the fall are also eligible to walk alongside spring graduates at upcoming commencement events. Final spring graduate figures may vary slightly from figures available prior to commencement events because students are still fulfilling academic requirements needed to earn their degrees.

Commencement events, where graduates are celebrated by their families and members of the WSU community, are taking place May 8-16:

Pullman

WSU Pullman is set to recognize more than 2,000 students earning undergraduate or professional degrees, including 127 becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Additionally, more than 320 Pullman graduate students are completing their studies this spring.

Three commencement events are scheduled for the Pullman campus on May 9 inside Beasley Coliseum:

• 8 a.m. - Carson College of Business, Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, College of Education, Sport and Human Sciences
• Noon - College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences, Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture, College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Nursing, Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
• 3:30 p.m. - College of Arts and Sciences, School of the Environment

WSU President Betsy Cantwell will be in attendance for all three of the above commencement events

A ceremony for DVM graduates will take place at 1 p.m. May 10.

Global Campus

WSU Global Campus' Class of 2026 includes more than 500 students earning undergraduate or professional degrees as well as upwards of 60 students completing graduate programs.

This year's Global Campus Commencement is taking place on May 16 inside the Grand Ballroom of the Westin Seattle beginning at 10 a.m. The event will also be livestreamed. More information is available on the WSU Global Campus commencement website.

WSU President Betsy Cantwell, as well as WSU Global Campus Chancellor Dave Cillay, will be in attendance at the commencement event.

Vancouver

Members of the WSU Vancouver community will celebrate 392 students earning undergraduate or professional degrees as well as 43 completing graduate programs this spring.

Commencement for WSU Vancouver students is taking place at 6:30 p.m. May 12 at the Cascades Amphitheatre in Ridgefield. More information is available on the WSU Vancouver commencement website.

Spokane

Approximately 290 students - including 161 earning professional degrees - are set to graduate this spring. Among those are 74 medical doctors, 45 doctors of pharmacy, and 42 doctors of nursing practice.

Each of WSU Spokane's health sciences colleges - the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, the College of Nursing and the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences - will be hosting events to honor their graduates:

• Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine - 3 p.m. May 8 on the campus of Eastern Washington University
• College of Nursing - 3 p.m. May 8 inside Cowles Auditorium on the campus of Whitworth University
• College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences - 1 p.m. May 14 at the Fox Theatre in Spokane

Senior Vice Provost of Medicine Jeff Haney will be attending the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine commencement. Provost and Executive Vice President Chris Riley-Tillman will attend the College of Nursing and Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences commencement ceremonies.

More than 210 students are on track to graduate from WSU Tri-Cities this spring, including 13 completing graduate programs.

More than 40 WSU Everett students are expected to graduate from WSU Everett this spring.

Members of the WSU Everett community and the proud families of soon-to-be graduates are invited to attend commencement on May 13. The event will take place at the Edward D. Hanson Conference Center beginning at 4 p.m.
