Now fans have something in the Yahoo Sports and Yahoo Fantasy apps to commemorate those unforgettable moments. Yahoo Sports Milestones are digital collectibles fans can claim in either app when (or shortly after) something major happens. Similar to traditional collectibles like ticket stubs or souvenirs, Milestones are a way for fans to remember where they were and how they felt when history was made.

Milestones are powered with a technology (patent-pending) that automatically flags significant sports moments, creates digital collectibles for them, and dynamically changes their supply based on the number of fans who are there to claim them. Here's how it works:

• When a big moment occurs, fans have a short window to claim its corresponding Milestone. To claim it, fans can tap on the Milestone bar, which will appear on Yahoo Sports app Game pages and in the Yahoo Fantasy app Fantasy Feed. Fans who are already on a Game page when the Milestone occurs automatically claim it.
• Once fans tap on the Milestone bar, they enter a lobby to wait for their digital collectible to be delivered. There, they can also celebrate the moment with other members of the Yahoo Sports community.
• Each Milestone digital collectible features a unique serial number that signifies how rare it is. Rarity is influenced by supply and determined at random.

• The design and rarity of each Milestone is segmented into five tiers: "Immortal" (serial #1), "Hall of Fame" (the next 5% of Milestones allocated), "Elite" (the next 10%), "All-Star" (the next 25%), and "Starter" (the remaining 60%).
