WWU Woodring College of Education and the Bellingham School District will host a community presentation by 2024 Washington State Secondary Principal of the Year and WWU alumnus William Jackson.
Join us in Miller Hall, Room 258 at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, for "Loving Engagement in Leadership." There will be a meet and greet with light refreshments prior to the presentation's start at 6:30 p.m.
As an educational leader and relationship builder, Jackson centers his "why" on justice, equity, and access. Serving as Executive Director of Teaching and Learning for the Bellevue School District, Jackson is known for his commitment to systems change, instructional leadership and equity-driven leadership strategies. His sessions inspire dialogue, elevate student voice and model strategies for inclusive learning environments.
The presentation is part of the 2nd annual Centering Black Excellence program, which is focused on creating spaces for learning, dialogue and action to celebrate and center Black excellence in education.
