Pedestrian Struck And Killed In Northeast Portland, Major Crash Team Investigating

A pedestrian has been killed after being struck by a vehicle in on Northeast Columbia Boulevard in Northeast Portland. The Major Crash Team is responding to investigate.

On Friday, August 29, 2025, at 4:44 a.m., officers from the North Precinct responded to a call of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in the 500 block of Northeast Columbia Boulevard. Upon their arrival, officers found a pedestrian who was deceased. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The Portland Police Bureau Major Crash Team will respond to the scene to investigate. During the investigation, Northeast Columbia Boulevard will be closed in both directions between Northeast MLK Jr. Boulevard and Northeast 11th Avenue. The closure is expected to take a couple of hours.
