ARCTIC PAVILION AT COP31 SUPPORTED!

The Northern Forum has once again been granted the right to establish the International Arctic Pavilion at the 31st Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP31) in Antalya, Turkey, from November 9-20, 2026.

The Northern Forum has once again been granted the right to establish the International Arctic Pavilion at the 31st Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP31) in Antalya, Turkey, from November 9-20, 2026.

In 2024, at the 29th UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP29) in Baku, the Northern Forum, with the support of the Andrey Melnichenko Foundation, created the Arctic Pavilion for the first time.

As part of the pavilion's program, 45 events were hosted, featuring organizers and speakers from over 50 countries across all continents and a significant number of international organizations. These included the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII), the Arctic Council Working Group on Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP), the Inuit Circumpolar Council (ICC), the IAEA, nuclear agencies of the US and Canada, the European Federation of Geologists, the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS), and others.

Interest in the Arctic Pavilion is substantial, with inquiries coming from many countries. The Secretariat of the Northern Forum is launching a call for applications for partnerships, session hosting, as well as in-person and online participation.
