Peoria County 2026 Proposed Budget Available for Review
Peoria County has released its 2026 recommended budget. It is available to view online at https://www.peoriacounty.org/395/Budget-Information.
Peoria County Board Members will review and discuss the proposed budget at committee meetings on October 27 and 28. The budget is then tentatively slated to go before the full Peoria County Board at their November 13 meeting. Highlights include fully funded IMRF (pension) obligations, and capital site improvement projects at the Courthouse, Jail, and Highway Department.
"The recommended budget for fiscal year 2026 is a reflection of the Peoria County Board's dedication to fiscal responsibility and transparency," said Peoria County Administrator Scott Sorrel. "Our team has worked diligently to ensure that we are optimizing tax dollars for the benefit of our community while continuing to invest in our long-term strategic priorities."
