U.S. Chamber Endorses Rob Wittman for Virginia's First Congressional District During National Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour

MIDLOTHIAN, VA - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Rep. Rob Wittman for Virginia's First Congressional District at a free enterprise endorsement event in Midlothian, Virginia, today. The event was a stop on the Chamber's Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour, a national six-week bus tour promoting free enterprise.

Former Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin joined the event alongside U.S. Chamber Senior Vice President of Small Business Policy Tom Sullivan. Sullivan presented Rep. Wittman with the Chamber's Advocate for American Business Award, recognizing his support for policies that defend free enterprise and his work towards solutions that lower costs for consumers.

"Rob Wittman has earned the U.S. Chamber's endorsement because of his support for free enterprise and policies that strengthen America's economic competitiveness," said Sullivan. "Throughout his service in Congress, he has been a reliable advocate for businesses, workers, and families across Virginia. We look forward to working with Rob in the next Congress to advance pro-growth policies that expand opportunity and keep our economy moving forward."

"What an honor it is to be here, celebrating and acknowledging the foundational principle of free enterprise," said Youngkin. "America was built by men and women who build, invent, expand, and hire. Congressman Rob Wittman stands for these same values. Let's deregulate and unleash economic freedom by supporting the economic ambitions of Virginians and Americans."

The U.S. Chamber endorses candidates for federal office who will support policies that drive innovation, grow the economy, and create opportunities for American businesses and workers.

The national Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour is a six-week trip through 20 states and more than 50 events to make the case for free enterprise in communities across America and push back against growing support for government-directed economic policies that threaten economic freedom, opportunity, innovation, and growth.

The effort is part of a broader Chamber initiative, the New Fight for Free Enterprise, a multi-year effort to organize, mobilize, and make the case for free enterprise everywhere public opinion is shaped, public policy is made, and future generations learn what it takes for people and communities to thrive.
