Southeastern draws large turnout for 2026 Safety Career Fair

DURANT, Okla. - Nearly 50 companies attended this year's Safety Career Fair at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, connecting with students and recruiting candidates for careers in construction, manufacturing, civil engineering, oil and gas, design, engineering and career technology.

Southeastern's Occupational Safety and Health program continues to produce highly qualified graduates who enter the workforce throughout Oklahoma and the surrounding region. Several companies were represented by SE alumni, highlighting the program's strong connections with industry. Employers also used the career fair to recruit Southeastern students and graduates for positions in a variety of fields beyond safety, reflecting the broad range of skills and experiences developed by SE students.

"The Safety Career Fair provides an important opportunity for our students to connect directly with employers, explore career possibilities, and begin building relationships that can lead to meaningful careers," said Stephanie Davison, senior executive director for student development. "At the same time, it gives our employer partners access to talented Southeastern students and graduates who are prepared to contribute and make an immediate impact in the workplace and in their communities."

SE Career Services hosts multiple career fairs throughout the year, connecting employers with future graduates and SE alumni who are prepared to enter the workforce and make an immediate impact in their careers and communities.
