Hosted by the University of Houston-Clear Lake's Center for Educational Programs, the 10th Annual Greater Houston Area STEM Conference is set to return Saturday, March 28, 2026, bringing together educators, students, and industry leaders for a full day of innovation and collaboration.
Held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. in the Bayou Building, the milestone conference marks a decade of connecting STEM professionals across Texas and the Gulf Coast under this year's theme: "Innovate. Integrate. Inspire."
Participants will experience hands-on workshops, interactive seminars, and dynamic panel discussions designed for PK-16 audiences, including in-service teachers, school administrators, teacher educators, pre-service teachers, informal educators, and STEM industry education liaisons. Sessions are aligned with state and national STEM standards and focus on practical strategies that spark curiosity, strengthen critical thinking, and connect classroom learning to real-world careers.
Attendees will also receive digital handouts, opportunities for door prizes, and up to seven hours of CPE/SBEC credit for full-day participation. Lunch is included with registration.
Early bird registration is open through Feb. 28. General admission is $40, with a discounted $35 rate for students. The reduced rate is applied during checkout. A vegetarian lunch option is available through a separate online form.
Dr. Carol Waters, UHCL associate professor of STEM education and conference organizer, said the event continues to grow as a regional hub for collaboration and forward-thinking practice.
"Whether you're preparing future scientists and engineers, leading innovative programs, or supporting STEM in the community, we'd love to have you in our network," she said.
