Spain welcomes the proposed US peace plan to end the war in Gaza, and calls on the parties to commit to ending the violence.

Spain calls for all negotiating efforts to put an end to the war and reiterates its demand for a permanent ceasefire, the release of all hostages and the massive influx of humanitarian aid to stop the suffering that has gone on for far too long.

The Government has reiterated its support for efforts to achieve a lasting peace in the Middle East, based on the implementation of the two-state solution.
