Augusta Utilities Working Diligently to Restore Service Following Hurricane Helene

[AUGUSTA, GA, October 2, 2024] - The Augusta Utilities Department (AUD) is currently restoring pressure to the western system. Residents are asked to conserve water during this time they pressurize the system. Residents may shower and wash dishes (avoid taking water in mouth), but no laundry or outside irrigation for the next 24 hours.

Residents are also asked to stay off the Canal towpath until further notice. Emergency repairs are underway with numerous leaks in the system. AUD is working as quickly to identify the leaks. If residents see any leaks, they are asked to please notify Augusta 311.
