SFO Names Ronda Chu as New Chief Financial Officer

Airport veteran will lead financial strategy, budget, fiscal programs, revenue enhancement

SAN FRANCISCO - February 23, 2026 - The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) today announced the selection of Ronda Chu as the new Chief Financial Officer for the Airport. In this role, Chu will be responsible for the development and management of the SFO's operating budget, fiscal programs, and revenue enhancement initiatives. The position is also responsible for Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, and Procurement Services departments.

"Our post-pandemic recovery underscores the importance of sound financial leadership, and Ronda brings a wealth of experience in both airport and public-sector finance. Ronda Chu brings over 25 years of experience in financial consulting and management, including positions with Booz Allen Hamilton, Reed & Associates, and Jacobs/LeighFisher. She joined SFO in 2008 as an Airport Economic Planner and most recently served as the Managing Director of Finance, leading the team that achieved the highest-ever credit ratings from Standard & Poor's and Moody's. She holds a Master of Science degree from the University of London and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Prior to Chu's appointment, Kevin Bumen served as both Chief Financial Officer and Chief Commercial Officer. Bumen will continue in his role as Chief Commercial Officer, leading all property management, concessions, air service development, and revenue generation initiatives.
