Entertainment and Patriotic Programs Highlight Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom

June 10, 2026 at 3:25 pm

The Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom on Saturday, July 4 is more than a fireworks show. The family-friendly celebration of our country's freedom and independence will also include live music, a drone show, stunt shows, pro-wrestling and patriotic programs that are both outside and out of the heat inside the Mesa Convention Center.

Stage America, located on the grass outside the Mesa Convention Center, 263 N. Center St., will feature music by Soulitify. A brief Salute to America program will be on the stage at approximately 9:15 p.m., setting a patriotic tone leading into a spectacular fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Arizona Band will perform in the Mesa Amphitheater, starting at 7 p.m., as part of a patriotic program wrapping up the City's year-long celebration of our nation's 250th birthday.

New this year is a drone show at 9 p.m. sponsored by NTT Global Data Centers. The show will feature approximately 200 drones operated by Pulse Drones, which will form aerial patriotic images to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday.

Phoenix Championship Wrestling is back by popular demand and moves indoors this year at the Mesa Convention Center. Phoenix Championship Wrestling stars Zamaya, Enrique Calderon, Jakob East, Yung Money, Taylor York and El Valiente will bring high-flying action to a night full of family-friendly professional wrestling matches. The Let Freedom Ring Laser Light Show will open the night and will return between wrestling matches during the evening.

Several other patriotic programs will also be inside the air-conditioned Mesa Convention Center. One is the Fallen Soldiers Memorial honoring the Arizona fallen heroes from the war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. Another is the presentation of historic U.S. flags at 6:30 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 8 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.

Outdoor patriotic activities will include an expanded Patriotic Military Showcase with more than 25 vintage military vehicles on display. Recruiters from the Army, Air Force and Marine Corps will be on hand and an Army enlistment ceremony will be held.

A crowd favorite, the Patriotic Superhero Stunt Show, returns with performances at 6:30 p.m., 7:20 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.

Now in its 17th year, the Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom promises a fantastic celebration. Join us from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center and Mesa Amphitheatre.
