Bridge Rehabilitation Project Set to Begin Next Week on North Rome Road in Rome Township, Bradford County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that starting next week, a portion of North Rome Road (Route 2019) will be closed in Rome Township, Bradford County, for a bridge rehabilitation project.

Starting on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, North Rome Road will be closed between 0.1 mile north of the intersection with Bumpville Road (Route 1046) and 0.5 miles south of East Warner Hill Road, while the contractor, Minichi, Inc., begins work on the bridge spanning a tributary to Bullard Creek.

A detour using Ghent Hill Road (Route 1022), Sportsmans Road (Route 1057), North Rome Road (Route 1050), Hill Road (Route 1067), and Cotton Hollow Road (Route 1056).

Minichi, Inc., is the prime contractor for this bridge rehabilitation project. Work includes repair of the bridge deck surface, application of waterproof layer on the bridge deck surface, and mill and pave the approaches. Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of November 2024, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
