TUESDAY, August 25
10:00 a.m. - Business Agenda Meeting
The Board will consider:

1. Approval of County Cash Requirements August 7, 2026 through August 14, 2026.
2. Approval of a standardized reimbursement agreement for development projects.
3. Approval of a letter of support to the Colorado Tourism Office for a grant to produce a Gravel Adventure Field Guide for La Plata County and the City of Durango.
4. Approval of the La Plata County Election Services Intergovernmental Agreement between La Plata County Commissioners, La Plata County Clerk and Recorder and Durango West Metropolitan District No. 1.
5. Approval of the submittal of the Public Health Department's application for the Telligen Community Initiative (TCI) Strengthening Families and Communities Grant application to preserve critical sexual and reproductive health services at La Plata County Public Health Department's Clinic.
6. Approval of the Office of Emergency Management's application for the Natural Disaster Mitigation Enterprise Grant from the Colorado Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
7. Approval of a letter supporting Upper Pine River Fire Protection District's application to the Colorado State Forest Service for a Forest Restoration and Wildfire Risk Mitigation (FRWRM) grant.1. Consideration of the San Juan Basin Area Agency on Aging Proposal for Short-term Services for State fiscal year 2026-2027.

1:00 p.m. - Executive Session
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote
of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

1. For purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b). Purpose: Tax increment financing for urban renewal authorities, C.R.S. §§ 31-25-101 et seq.
2. Determining positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for negotiations; and instructing negotiators pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(e). Purpose: Negotiations with the Durango Urban Renewal Authority on the tax increment financing agreement for Durango Crossings.

WEDNESDAY, August 26
8:30 a.m. - Board Discussion Time
The Commissioners will meet with staff in the Board Room to discuss various issues.

1:00 p.m. - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Agile Space Industries
The Board has been invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the expanded headquarters at Agile Space Industries, located at 820 Airport Road in Durango.

4:00 p.m. - Tour of 2025 Vallecito Flood Area
The Board and county staff will tour the site of the 2025 Vallecito Flood with Chief Bruce Evans of the Upper Pine River Fire Protection District.

6:00 p.m. - "On the Road" to Vallecito with the County Commissioners
The Board and county staff will go "On the Road" to meet with county residents for an informational meeting and to hear from residents on issues important to them. The meeting will be held at the Vallecito Lake Event Center, located at 17252 County Road 501.

THURSDAY, August 27
4:00 p.m. - Commissioner Chat with Elizabeth Philbrick in Bayfield
Commissioner Elizabeth Philbrick will host Commissioner Chat in Bayfield from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for members of the public to discuss county issues of interest or concern. The event will be held at the Pine River Library, located at 395 Bayfield Center Drive.

FRIDAY, August 28
12:00 p.m. - Board of County Commissioners Retreat
The Board will meet with staff to review leadership priorities and practices and discuss board goals and priorities for 2026 and 2027. The retreat will be held at 10 Burnett Court in Durango.
