EmplifyHealth by Gundersen Boscobelis pleased to welcome Elizabeth White, MD, as the newest member of its primary care team. Dr. White is now seeing patients at both the Boscobeland Muscodaclinics, providing comprehensive care for individuals and families across all stages of life.
Dr. White offers a wide range of services including family medicine, wellness exams, sports physicals, management of chronic conditions, acute care (sick visits) and routine procedures. She brings a special interest in women's health, pediatrics and nutrition, and is known for her approachable style and patient-centered care.
"I've served within the EmplifyHealth by Gundersen region for over five years now," said Dr. White. "As EmplifyHealth expands into more rural communities, I've felt a strong desire to deepen my commitment to community-based, local healthcare. I'm honored to support a system that is community-owned and centered on patient relationships."
Dr. White previously practiced at EmplifyHealth by Gundersen Viroqua Clinicafter completing her residency training in family medicine within then-Gundersen Health System.
A native of Milton, Wis., Dr. White was raised on a small family dairy farm-a background that has shaped her deep respect for rural life and her understanding of the unique health needs faced by farming communities.
"While the farming industry has changed since my childhood, the values remain strong," she said. "Serving rural families often feels like caring for my own. I'm grateful to the Boscobel and Muscoda communities for welcoming me. I look forward to building strong, lasting connections with my patients."
Dr. White began her college education at Lawrence Universityin Appleton, earned her undergraduate degree from UW-Madison, completed post-baccalaureate pre-medical coursework at UW-Whitewater, and returned to UW-Madison to earn her medical degree.
Her interest in medicine began early. "Growing up, we rarely went to the doctor unless it was an emergency," she shared. "My earliest exposure to health care was following our large animal veterinarian around the farm. As I got older, I became fascinated with the human body and inspired to serve rural communities through primary care."
In her free time, Dr. White volunteers with a nonprofit public health organization, believing in the power of prevention and education both inside and outside the clinic. She also enjoys biking, trail running, hiking, camping, canoeing, cooking and crafting with her family.
Pediatric care holds a special place in her practice. "Supporting families as they grow in today's changing world is so important," said Dr. White. "When quality care is available close to home, communities grow stronger. I look forward to welcoming new patients and working alongside them to create care plans that reflect their goals and values."
"We are thrilled to welcome our third M.D. to the team," said Theresa Braudt, Boscobel Administrator. "Dr. White's clinical skill, rural perspective and heartfelt commitment to patients are a perfect match for our mission and our communities."
