Cambridge Fire notes 20 years of Paramedic Service

We elebrate the 20th anniversary of the inception of Paramedic/Advanced Life Support by the Cambridge Fire Department. Paramedic service was initiated on May 1, 2005 with the establishment of Squads 2 & 4. Currently in 2025, Engine 1, Rescue 1, & Squads 2, 3, & 4 are our designated medic companies. (Every fire company in the city provides basic Emergency Medical care.)

When a worldwide pandemic came, Cambridge Fire adapted and provided support to medical facilities, testing and vaccinations. Whatever the hazard the world has presented, Cambridge Fire EMS has been there, and we will continue to provide the best EMS care wherever and whenever it is needed.

Thank you to all our Firefighter/Paramedics for their continued dedication!
