Maryland Releases FAQs for State’s New FAMLI Progam

The Maryland Department of Labor has released a comprehensive set of Frequently Asked Questions outlining key details of the state's new Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program.

The program provides eligible employees with up to 12 weeks of paid leave, along with wage replacement of up to $1,000 per week, to care for themselves or a qualifying family member. Participation is mandatory-any organization with at least one Maryland-based employee is required to comply.

The FAQs address a range of common questions, particularly from the employer community, with guidance provided by the FAMLI Division of the Maryland Department of Labor.
