August Features Three Major Outdoor Festivals in New Brunswick



NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (August 4, 2026) - New Brunswick will host three large outdoor festivals this August. These events will celebrate various cultures, arts, and traditions within the community.

The New Brunswick Heart Festival will take place on Aug. 8 from 2 to 6 p.m. outside State Theatre New Jersey at 15 Livingston Ave. This free, outdoor, and family-friendly event focuses on the arts and history of New Brunswick and Middlesex County. The festival will include live performances, dance presentations, hustle dance instruction, kids' dance classes, free balloon animals, a health and wellness tent, free caricatures, and food vendors.

The Hub City Sounds: Caribbean Festival is scheduled for Aug. 22, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Recreation Park, 7 Pine St. This festival will feature Caribbean culture, including traditional music and food.

On Aug. 23, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Elmer B. Boyd Park, 2 New St., the City will host the Hub City Sounds: Janmashtami Festival. This event will highlight Indian cultural traditions.
