Southeastern student Paige Moody chosen for prestigious Native American Scholars Initiative Internship

DURANT, Okla. - Southeastern Oklahoma State University senior Paige Moody has earned the prestigious Native American Scholars Initiative Undergraduate Summer Internship through the American Philosophical Society.

Moody, a double major in history and graphic design, is one of only three students nationwide selected for the highly competitive program.

The eight-week internship begins on June 14 at the American Philosophical Society's Library and Museum in Philadelphia. During her time there, she will participate in seminars and workshops, engage with the Society staff and fellows, and complete an independent research project, which will include a final presentation at the end of the internship.

A native of Edmond, Oklahoma, Moody is a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation, the Southeastern Honor's Program and a McNair Scholar.

The Native American Scholars Initiative is funded through a grant from The Mellon Foundation.
