Scheduled wastewater plant shutdown Dec. 18 - no service disruptions expected

On Thursday, Dec. 18, the wastewater treatment plant on RM 2243 will be shut down for approximately 3-4 hours, beginning at 8:00 a.m., to complete an electrical transformer tie in for Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC). No service disruptions are expected for City of Leander customers, as bypass pumping equipment will keep the plant operating during the shutdown. This work is part of two Capital Improvement Projects designed to expand and improve the City's wastewater system:

  • WW.43 - RM 2243 Wastewater Treatment Plant Lift Station
  • WW.46 - Reclaimed Water System to Northline
