Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised a client of three factors on a non-resource factoring of up to PLN 300 million provided by a consortium of factors.
The consortium was led by Pekao Faktoring sp. z o.o., which acted as the factoring agent and included BNP Paribas Faktoring sp. z o.o. and mFaktoring S.A.
This is one of the first transactions of this kind in Poland - consortium factoring remains relatively rare on the Polish market, and this deal opens new opportunities for large corporates. Work on the transaction began at the end of last year and required careful coordination of multiple operational, functional and legal aspects to ensure that the final structure fully addressed the client's needs. The result is a bespoke financing solution tailored to the client's business objectives.
The Warsaw team was led by counsel Jacek Smardzewski and included lawyer Antoni Krzyżanowski. The team worked under the supervision of partner Grzegorz Dyczkowski, who heads the Warsaw office and the firm's Warsaw banking and finance practice.
Jacek Smardzewski commented:
"We are delighted to have supported this transaction, which is unique to the Polish market. This deal highlights the market's forward-thinking approach to financing and reflects our team's knowledge and deep understanding in structuring complex financings tailored to our clients' growth strategies."
