Final Report Regarding the November 7, 2024 Officer-Involved Shooting Incident in Plymouth, New Hampshire

Concord, NH -- Attorney General John M. Formella announces the completion of the investigation into the officer-involved shooting that occurred on November 7, 2024, in Plymouth, New Hampshire, which resulted in the death of 58-year-old Kevin Steinfeldt.

The final investigation report (below) concludes that based on all the facts and circumstances of this case, New Hampshire State Police Sergeant Michael Cedrone, Sergeant Stefan Czyzowski, Sergeant Nicholas Levesque, Trooper Daniel Roger, Trooper First Class Ryan St. Cyr, and Sergeant Noah Sanctuary were legally justified when they used deadly force against Kevin Steinfeldt because it was objectively reasonable for the officers to conclude that Steinfeldt constituted an imminent threat of deadly force at the time of the incident.
