9th Annual Seniors vs Seniors Spelling Bee

The Seniors vs. Seniors Spelling Bee is a fun tradition that brings generations together. The 9th Annual Seniors versus Seniors Spelling BEE, a friendly competition featuring Pembroke Pines Charter High School Seniors and Southwest Focal Point (SWFP) Senior Citizens, will take place on Tuesday, February 18, at 12:30 p.m. in the Main Hall of the Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center, located at 301 NW 103 Avenue (off Johnson Street, one block west of Palm Avenue). Winners will have their names engraved on a perpetual cup trophy and bragging rights for the upcoming year.

The SWFP members participating in the 2025 spelling bee must be at least 60 years of age. The event is free for Center members, and a SWFP Membership Card is required to participate. Charter School Seniors are from the 12th grade and registered through their school to take part in the competition. For more information, please call at the Center at 954-450-6888.
