Welcoming Roy Kamineni to Asymmetric

We're excited to welcome Roy Kamineni to the Asymmetric team as an Investor.

Roy joins us from Summit Partners, where he was an Investor on the Technology Growth Equity team in Boston and sourced the firm's investment in Runpod. Before Summit, he spent several years as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in Los Angeles, where he executed M&A transactions, raised capital, and advised leading technology, media, and telecom companies globally. Roy is a graduate of UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, with a B.S. in Business Administration.

Roy's focus areas, software, AI, infrastructure, fintech, defense, and healthcare IT, sit squarely inside the constrained-TAM markets where Asymmetric looks for outsized returns. He's already proven it: shortly before joining, Roy sourced and closed an investment in a stealth defense tech company.

Outside of work, Roy is chasing his next stamp in the passport (recent trips took him to Kenya, Tanzania, and Greece), caught the running bug after the Boston Marathon as his first race ever, and can be counted on for a strong restaurant recommendation wherever he lands.
