AXIS Registry Enrolls Its First 100 People Living with Myasthenia Gravis

The AXIS Registry has enrolled its first 100 people living with myasthenia gravis (MG), marking an important early milestone for this long-term initiative to advance patient-centered research in autoimmune neurological diseases.

Launched by Alira Health in partnership with the Autoimmune Neurology Alliance (AiNA), AXIS captures how people experience MG over time. Participants share information monthly about their subtype, symptoms, daily functioning (including the Myasthenia Gravis Activities of Daily Living Profile [MG-ADL]), quality of life (including the Myasthenia Gravis Quality of Life 15-item Scale - Revised [MG-QoL15r]), treatments, and healthcare experiences.

As the registry grows, these longitudinal data will help researchers better understand how MG progresses and affects people differently, as well as treatment patterns and outcomes by treatment type in real-world settings.

Reaching 100 enrolled patients is an important step in building the evidence needed to understand the real-world experience of living with MG. The value of the registry will continue to grow as participants share their experiences over time. After an initial pilot phase with a small group of participants, AXIS enrolled 93 additional patients in just two months, at a rate of approximately 11 enrolled patients per week.

AXIS is currently enrolling adults in the United States who have been diagnosed with MG. The registry is designed to expand to additional autoimmune neurological conditions in the future. AXIS will be featured in a poster and oral presentation at the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) 2026 Annual Meeting.
