How does Hillsboro feel about HiLight internet?

Social media users in Hillsboro have weighed in on Reddit with a clear message: It's awesome.

Reddit user DadNerdAtHome got the conversation started in late March 2026 when they posted, "how is the service. Because it will be cheaper for us for sure."

User TunaBrick was the first to chime in.

"100% recommend it. I've been using HiLight for about 2 years and have had zero issues"

Then, YOURMOM37 asked about the cost, saying their current internet provider had raised prices nearly 90% since the initial price.

"Have they made any price increases since you've started?"

TunaBrick was on it.

"It started at $55 and is still $55. Nothing on their website says they'll ever raise that price. Since it's a municipal service, any profit goes back into expanding their service, not shareholder dividends. They'll only raise the price if it's absolutely necessary."

HiLight subscribers jumped into the conversation.

BearManPig2020 kept it going.

"$55 for 1gig fiber with true unlimited data. I have had this service for almost a year. It has been 100% uptime. There is no data cap whatsoever. You can use as much as you want… I approve. "

Bumrodgers added "I love it. Consistent speed, way more affordable, really really good customer service. And they're over building so as capacity/speed requirements increase they are already capable. Plus no hidden fees and prices should stay consistent for years to come"
