"The Hamburg Youth and Recreation Center gives kids and families a place to come for after school programs and activities and to connect with their community," Assemblymember Rivera said. "It's great to have Speaker Heastie here with us to see the great work they're doing here in Hamburg to bring together families and the community."

The center is home to a multitude of programming and community spaces for people of all ages, including after school programs. In addition, facility has a H.A.M. radio room, a photography lab, an arts and crafts room and a computer lounge. The funding announced today will allow the Village of Hamburg to modernize the outdated building and improve it for intergenerational programming.
