Repatriation of the five Italian women detained in the West Bank

The repatriation of the five Italian women detained in the West Bank took place this morning.

Officials from the Embassy of Italy in Tel Aviv could carry out a consular visit at the airport yesterday evening, during which the women appeared to be in good physical condition.

Whilst the consular official was at the airport, the women were allowed to use their mobile phones and could speak to their lawyer at least once by telephone.
