Davey Welcomes Koeser as Research Scientist at The Davey Institute

Kent, Ohio - The Davey Tree Expert Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Andrew Koeser to the Davey Institute as a research scientist.

Koeser joins Davey with more than 20 years of experience in arboriculture, urban forestry and applied tree research. He worked at the International Society of Arboriculture's headquarters for five years, ending as science and research manager.

Most recently, he served as a full professor at the University of Florida, where his research focused on practical challenges facing arborists and urban foresters, including tree biomechanics, risk assessment, root systems, tree establishment, storm resilience and urban forest management.

In this role, Koeser will support the development of a Southeast Research Center in Florida while also maintaining a research program at Davey's SEED Campus in Kent, Ohio.

Koeser earned a bachelor's degree in forestry from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and his master's degree and doctorate from the University of Illinois.
