Rana Tanvir Hussain, Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Islamic Republic of Pakistan called on Dr. Mohammad Reza Aref, First vice-president of the Islamic republic of Iran today at Presidency on 18th August,2025.

Federal Minister reiterated the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Shehbaz Sharif of enhancing the trade volume with Iran. He shared and highlighted the possibilities of enhanced export of rice, Corn, bananas. Meat and live stock from Pakistan. High quality pesticides can also be imported from Pakistan, he added.

Dr. Mohammad Reza welcomed Minister Tanvir and his delegation. He stated that Iran and Pakistan enjoy great trade potential and both countries are committed to achieve trade target of 10 billion dollars,he added. Vice president also assured that next Joint Economic Committee(JEC) meeting will be held soon further capitalizing on existing understanding and potential.
