RICHMOND, Va. - A Washington man was sentenced today to 13 years in prison for distribution of methamphetamine and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
According to court documents, from December 2025 to February 2026, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) conducted four controlled purchases of narcotics from Gregory Pierce, 28, at his room in a Richmond hotel. During the controlled transactions, Pierce sold a total of 425.86 grams of methamphetamine and on one occasion sold Oxycodone.
On Feb. 18, DEA agents searched Pierce's hotel room. From a safe in the room, investigators recovered, among other things, methamphetamine, a handgun, an extra barrel, amphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine hydrochloride, three digital scales, six credit/debit cards; and three rounds of ammunition.
After his arrest, Pierce attempted to obstruct justice by requesting that a third-party locate and intimidate a witness.
Theophani K. Stamos, First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, and Cindy Marx, Special Agent in Charge for the Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) Washington Division, made the announcement after sentencing by U.S. District Judge Roderick C. Young.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Gilliland prosecuted the case.
