General Assembly to COnclude Debate on Implementing Commitment, Political Declarations on HIV/AIDS, International Day against Unilateral Coercive Measures

The General Assembly meets to conclude its debate on implementation of the Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS and the political declarations on HIV/AIDS, for which it will have before it the Secretary-General's report titled "The urgency of now: AIDS at a crossroads - progress report on the 2025 targets and strategic directions for the future" (document A/79/869).

The 193-member body will also continue its debate and take action on the draft resolution "International Day Against Unilateral Coercive Measures" (document A/79/L.93), as well as take action on draft resolutions on the "International Day of Deafblindness" (document A/79/L.92) and "Cooperation between the United Nations and the Gulf Cooperation Council" (document A/79/L.91).

It will also by secret ballot continue to fill remaining vacancies from the Eastern European States, as well as elect a member from the Western European and Eastern States, to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law.
