Seeking Feedback for 2026 Sunset Reviews

The Colorado Office of Policy, Research and Regulatory Reform (COPRRR), within the Executive Director's Office at the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), is currently conducting their 2026 sunset reviews.

The sunset reviews in process are:

Asbestos Control Act
Civil Rights Division and Commission
Digital License Plates
Domestic Violence Offender Management Board
Justice Reinvestment Crime Prevention Initiative
Motor Vehicles and Power Sports Vehicles Sales
Board of Nursing, including Certified Nurse Aids
Radon Measurement and Mitigation Licensing Act
Wildfire Mitigation Incentives for Local Government Grant Program

COPRRR is charged with determining whether these programs serve the public interest, whether they should be continued, and if any statutory changes are necessary based on the statutory criteria located in section 24-34-104 C.R.S. The resulting report will be released on October 15, 2026, and will lead to legislation based on the report's recommendations.
