PCTEL Releases Interference Location Estimation Feature for SeeHawk^® Monitor Platform

Cost-Effective Solution Protects Critical Communications Coverage by Accelerating Interference Hunting

PCTEL is proud to announce the initial release of Interference Location Estimation, a new feature for the SeeHawk® Monitor spectrum monitoring and uplink testing platform.

Interference Location Estimation accelerates mitigation efforts by reducing time in the field. It works by leveraging SeeHawk Monitor Remote Test Units (RTUs) deployed at radio sites or at key locations in the field. This makes it cost-effective for radio system managers, but flexible enough for use in commercial, regulatory, and signal intelligence applications.

When a noise event is detected by multiple RTUs, SeeHawk Monitor performs a detailed analysis using proprietary algorithms to estimate the noise source location. Field personnel can follow mapping data to track down the exact location with PCTEL's SeeWave® interference locating system or another interference hunting tool.

Resource-constrained public safety radio networks will particularly benefit from SeeHawk Monitor's complete toolset, which also enables radio system managers to:

• Monitor interference, featuring real-time and recorded spectrum analysis
