EAGLES OVER MONROE Fairfax Birding Hike, Fairfax SRA (Monroe Lake)

Fairfax Birding Hike at 10:00 a.m.

• FREE! Registration REQUIRED by Feb. 14 at 4 p.m.: tinyurl.com/eaglesovermonroe
• Limited to 20 people (NO walk-ups!).
• Recommended for ages 16 to adult.
• Program Length: 90 minutes
• Fairfax SRA: Meet at Swimming Beach Parking Lot

Even when the lake is frozen, Fairfax SRA is a hot spot for water birds in the winter, thanks to bubblers around the marina that maintain an area of open water. Join experienced birder and retired Monroe County Parks naturalist Cathy Meyer to search for eagles, loons, ducks, gulls, and shorebirds! If time permits, the hike will also head into the woods and field habitat to look for Lapland Larkspurs, Cedar Waxwings, and other winter songbirds.

Registrants will be sent an info email (via Eventbrite) after registration closes on Feb. 14 at 4 p.m., which will include driving directions to the meeting location (check your spam folder, if you don't see it in your inbox).
