NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Eureka will conduct a Public Hearing on TUESDAY, MAY 20, 2025at 6:00 PM, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 531 K Street, Eureka, California, 95501 in order to discuss possible HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) 2024 Notice of Funding Availability and to solicit citizen input on possible competitive Project and Program activities to be included in the application.
The Department of Housing and Community Development Division of Federal Financial Assistance Housing Branch published a "Notice of Funding Availability" (NOFA) for approximately $35 Million is available through a competitive application process for all eligible state recipients, Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) and Developers, as defined in the released NOFA onDecember 30, 2024.
ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES UNDER THIS NOFA
PROJECT ACTIVITIES:
Multifamily Rental Projects (new construction, acquisition only, and /or rehabilitation with or without acquisition); and
First-Time Homebuyer (FTHB) Projects (subdivision development)
PROGRAM ACTIVITIES:
First-Time Homebuyer (FTHB) Programs, including infill new construction programs, where feasible;
Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation (OOR) Programs; and
Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) Programs
The purpose of this public hearing is to encourage public participation from the Community of the City of Eureka. The City of Eureka currently has interest in applying for a Project Activity and a Program activity under this HOME NOFA.
